(CIT-TTAC) Partners
The Crisis Intervention Team Training & Technical Assistance Centers (CIT-TTACs) support law enforcement and first responders across Massachusetts by delivering specialized training and technical assistance to improve responses to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises.
Most centers deliver the standard 40-hour CIT training, which covers topics such as:

Understanding behavioral health, de-escalation, communication skills, navigating resources, and risk assessments

Suicide prevention, homelessness, developmental and intellectual disabilities, substance use, and officer wellness
Co Response Technical Assistance Center
(CR-TTAC) Partners
The Co-Response Technical Assistance Centers (CR-TTACs) support police departments and clinicians working together in Co-Response models by offering training, orientation, recruitment support, and technical assistance.
Current training topics covered in the 5-day Intensive Training include:

Enhancing crisis response skills, introducing best practices, and building connections between clinicians and law enforcement

Ongoing support and training, including orientation for new staff, recruitment assistance, and continued education to strengthen co-response teams statewide

The Center - Learning Management System (LMS)
In accordance with Mass. General Laws c.19 § 25 (2018), The Center has developed training content focused on mental illness recognition, substance misuse, mental health treatments, co-occurring disorders, crisis response, and community policing best practices that is open to all members.
